Start of 2024 Cruise Season for A&P Falmouth.
A&P Falmouth, part of the APCL Group, welcomed back Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition today marking the second season of turnaround calls from Falmouth’s International Cruise Terminal.
This call follows on from the success of last years turn around calls where the regional cruising offer was snapped up quickly by the local population, with many saying “boarding experience from home to cabin was under 1 hour”.
Ambition called at Falmouth on Sunday 14th April as part of its Iberian Treasures & Seville Fiesta Cruise where it will embark approximately 260 guests.
A&P Group operates Falmouth’s 1300sqft International Cruise Terminal, and in preparation for the visit has made significant investment in the port and its facilities - including working with long standing partner Newquay Airport to provide baggage screening services.
Drystan Jones, Director Port Development and Director, General Manager FDEC, said: “We were delighted to see Ambition return to Falmouth today – another significant milestone for the cruise terminal this year.
“We are committed to providing a sustainable port environment that allows cruise tourism to be optimised and provide the very best service for visiting cruise ships, their crew and passengers.
“Cruise tourism delivers substantial economic impact to the region – in 2023 alone, we welcomed over 42 cruise ships and 45,557 passengers through the port and into the town of Falmouth.”
