DON LESSELS JOINS A&P GROUP and CAMMELL LAIRD AS GROUP COMPLIANCE AND AND AUDIT MANAGER.
Don Lessels has been appointed as Group Compliance and Audit Manager at A&P and Cammell Laird in a newly established position to help underpin the Group’s HSEQ strategy.
Don joins A&P and Cammell Laird from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) where he held the position of Senior Lead Auditor and Global Technical Account Manager.
Don began his career as an apprentice trainee process operator in 1984. His career spans over 22 years in the chemical/fibres/plastics industries in various roles from production plant operator, research plant operator, process improvement officer, laboratory supervisor, commissioning manager, to production/engineering support investigator.
Don has 18 years of experience in the 3rd Party Certification Business as a global technical manager and senior lead auditor.
His professional qualifications include Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015 , Lead Auditor ISO14001:2015 , Lead Auditor ISO 45001:2018 , Lead Auditor ISO 22000:2018 , Lead Auditor HACCP and Lead Auditor SSiP.

Don has a Degree in Chemical Engineering and a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
