KATHY BAYLIS JOINS A&P GROUP AND CAMMELL LAIRD AS BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT LEAD.

Kathy Baylis has been appointed as Group Business Improvement Lead at A&P and Cammell Laird in a new position designed to increase collaborative working across the two businesses.

Kathy will now work across A&P and Cammell Laird to identify areas where both businesses can share knowledge and expertise and work collaboratively to achieve best practice which will deliver significant value to customers.

Kathy joins A&P and Cammell Laird from Risk Management and Quality Assurance Company DNV and has a strong track record in transformational management.

Originally training as a Navigation Officer, Kathy sailed with P&O Nedlloyd before moving ashore in 2005 and joining DNV. Kathy’s career has taken her around the world and has resulted in Kathy specialising in safety culture, business transformation and energy efficiency projects.

For the last five and half years, Kathy was UK Area Manager, DNV and as such held responsibility for all of DNV’s Maritime business across the UK and Ireland. Key areas of responsibility included safety/production/quality, finance/results, people and customers. Kathy was also responsible for driving large scale transformation within the organisation, both within the UK and across the globe.

Commenting on her new role, Kathy said: “A&P and Cammell Laird’s key areas of focus include first and foremost the safety and health of all working within our organisation: the recruitment, retention and development of all our people, with specific focus on talent development and apprenticeship programmes which run across the group: sustainability, and end to end process management – sectors which I am extremely passionate about.”
