A&P GROUP LAUNCHES NEW IOSH TRAINING COURSE.
A&P Group is delighted to have launched its new IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) licensed course across all its facilities.
The course, named ‘HSE Responsibilities for Managers and Supervisors in Shipyards’, has taken 18 months to develop and has involved extensive research into shipyard risks, why quality embedded in safety is important and how HSEQ can be upheld by project management teams to ensure the effective management of contractors.
It is intended that all managers, supervisors and Directors will attend the course.
The IOSH course runs over four days with a final written assessment and a workplace risk assessment based project, which is to be completed within two weeks of the last course date.
45 people have completed the course since April 2021, and feedback from all personnel has been very good.
Kevin Peart, HSEQ Director, said: “A&P Group continues to strive to develop HSEQ policies which underpin the safety of our employees, contractors and customers.
"The launch of our new IOSH course further demonstrates our commitment to HSEQ and will benefit all of our stakeholders.”
