Our dedicated Cluster Support Team Office, located on the waterfront at A&P Falmouth, is the heart of our collaborative partnership with the RFA and Royal Navy and home to more than 30 dedicated A&P and NSS staff.
We are immensely proud of our 12 year partnership with the Ministry of Defence during which we have delivered Through-Life Support to RFA Argus, LSDA, HMS Scott and the Tide Class Tankers. During this time, we have developed a unique understanding of each vessel - supporting them across the globe whilst they are in operational theatre.

A&P Tyne operates a first-class waterfront engineering infrastructure which offers direct load-out capabilities. Our highly skilled workforce and management team delivers quality workmanship to the highest tolerances and meets client objectives on time and to schedule, each and every time.
Reactivation and Conversion of Warships & Auxiliaries.
A&P provides successful reactivation and conversion projects for the Australian, Bangladesh, Brazil, Lithuania and UK Governments. The combination of A&P Tyne and A&P Falmouth’s marine services and fabrication capabilities benefit all customers. Projects are executed on time and to budget.
End-To-End Capability.
A&P’s in-house design capability enables us to implement full turnkey solutions, from initial design all the way though to planning, programming, embodiment and support.
Thanks to this expertise, A&P has completed technical installations on RFA vessels in the UK and for Urgent Operational Requirements during deployment.
Ship Repair, Refit and Conversion Services.
A&P Group provides extensive ship repair, refit and conversion services to the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and overseas Navies.
Over the last twelve years, A&P Group has completed more than six refits for the Bay Class and three refits for RFA Argus. We have also completed docking maintenance periods on behalf of HMS Endurance, Echo, Enterprise & Bristol, the River Class and RFA Fort Austin.

Work | RFA Lyme Bay returned to her maintenance base in Falmouth in June 2022 for her refit programme, following 18 months of deployment in operational theatres across the globe. RFA Lyme Bay’s RP22 formed part of the mid-life update for the vessel, which included a ten week spell in drydock. Works included routine servicing to propulsion and manoeuvring systems, along with adjustments to auxiliary services Hull coating surveys, repair and topcoat paint works. |

Work | A&P Defence is currently delivering a programme of refits and repairs to four River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) in Falmouth, as part of an ongoing support contract with BAE Systems. A&P Defence was awarded the four-year framework agreement to provide repairs and maintenance to Batch 1 and Batch 2 River Class Vessels - HMS Tyne, Mersey, Severn, Clyde, Forth, Medway, Tamar, Spey & Trent - in 2015, and secured a two year extension until 2021, last year. |

Work | In 2019, A&P Defence completed the reactivation refit of the River-class offshore patrol vessel, HMS Severn, as part of an ongoing support contract with BAE Systems. The vessel underwent an extensive refit programme which included a full tail shaft survey, inspection of the anchor, cables and sea valves, applied full Intersleek paint coatings on the hull, installation of new davits including all steel work and cabin removals, new electrical installation, complete regeneration of all cabins as well as an overhaul of the system pumps with electric motors and water tight doors and hatches. The A&P team worked closely with subcontractors and managed the programme on behalf of the MoD. |

Work | Assisted Maintenance Period in Falmouth. Whilst alongside Argus remained in Fleet Time for the duration of the extensive work package.
